as a county commissioner representing sparks, spanish springs, warm springs and wadsworth it was my goal to ensure these areas receive their fair share of the regional economic pie as up-and-coming top communities in the nation. It is my goal as a state senator to be sure all areas within senate district 2 are fairly represented at the state level.

The state has three principle challenges. one is maitaining the quality of life we have become accustomed to and worked hard to establish. Second is intergovernmental cooperation and the1 third is economic diversification. all three have to be addressed simultaneously or else we are going to end up with the state of california problems. to solve these challenges will require elected officials that have their feet firmly planted in the 21st century and not dreaming of what it was like in the 20th century. i am that elected official who understands and has the experience to work with those who are sincere and committed to a strong and vibrant nevada. I also have the business background as well as the academic credentials to converse and assist in solving the emerging issues as well as the old problems the state as dealt with for so many years.
