Topic: What Bob Larkin Believes About Taxes
As a lifelong Republican and native Nevada whose family spans 5 generations, I know our state’s future depends on creating a climate where business can thrive. I believe that limiting government and low taxes are the foundations of a vibrant and stable economy. Advancing those policies would be my goal as a state senator.
I would fight vigorously against a Gross Receipts Tax and a state income tax that could irrevocably damage Nevada’s business-friendly status. My years of studying and applying economics have taught me that creating jobs and stabilizing the economy are best accomplished with as little government interference as possible. Let the free market make the decisions about who wins or loses. The greatest growth in our economy takes place among small businesses, created by entrepreneurs who rely on the free marketplace to create competition and inspire innovation. I believe in limiting government regulation to instances of abuse, and in allowing the free market to reach its full potential.
